The understanding of family histories, primarily the generation of my parents and grandparents, immensely fascinates me in the richness of life events preceding their arrival as U.S. immigrants. Yet my accumulated knowledge in sequencing the events surrounding their journeys is merely a surface level understanding. As a result, I constantly strive to uncover missing details through either verbal accounts or formal documentation. The pursuit of this information is a process aiming to establish stronger relational ties to family members as I attempt to piece together personal visualizations of connected, intertwined histories, and ultimately my places within these timelines.
